In 1989, Arlene joined our organization when it was School Employees Credit Union as a Product Development Supervisor and Trainer. As a member of the Executive Team, she assists in guiding the strategic direction of the credit union. She has also helped Arbor Financial to repeatedly be recognized as one of the Best and Brightest Places to Work in West Michigan and Nationally.
A Benton Harbor native, Arlene attended Lake Michigan College and worked for Whirlpool Employees Federal Credit Union, now United Federal Credit Union, for 15 years prior to joining Arbor Financial. Arlene is a member of various Human Resources organizations and served as a former certified trainer for the Michigan Credit Union League for credit union staff, and board educational seminars throughout Michigan, leading the STAR and Board of Director Courses. Arlene and her husband, Richard, reside in Mattawan where they are close to their children and grandchildren.
Our Board of Directors, management, and staff highly regard Arlene and greatly appreciate her dedication to the credit union. We honor Arlene because she fully exemplifies the credit union philisophy of “People Helping People.”
