April is Youth Month - Lets Celebrate!

Did you know that April is National Credit Union Youth Month? We are excited to encourage our young members to learn good savings habits. Read more about our upcoming Youth Month challenges to help children unleash the power of savings.

Youth Month Savings Challenge

During April, members 18 and under are invited to participate in our Arbor Youth Savings Challenge. Members simply need to make a deposit into their account, which automatically enters them in a drawing to win one of three $25 cash prizes. Plus, we are partnering with the Credit Union National Association for their very own savings challenge where members 17 and under who make deposits in April are automatically entered to win $100.

Youth Month Coloring Contest for Ages 12 and Under

Time to get creative and have fun! This year we are hosting a Youth Month coloring contest for children 12 and under with lots of fun prizes. The first 25 submissions automatically win a free book Count on Pablo by Barbara deRubertis, and one lucky winner will win a $20 gift card to the Kalamazoo Candle Company! This gift card can be used to create your very own sand or wax candle. To enter, simply turn in your sheet at any of our 12 locations. You can print the coloring sheet and view the official rules here, or pick one up at a branch near you. Membership is not required to participate in this event.

Ask About Opening an Explorer's Club Account

Did you know that the Explorer's Club offers young members ages 12 and under a great way to develop strong savings habits? Your young saver will receive great benefits, like:

• Explorer's Club Coin Bank at account opening.
• Passport to Win Program. Every time a young member makes a deposit into their account in person they get a stamp on their Passport and a sticker. Once the passport is full, the member will turn it in with the parents contact info and be entered to win $25 each quarter! In honor of Youth Month, members will get two stamps for every deposit and be entered into a bonus drawing at the end of the month!
